Case Study: The Eden Project
The Eden Project is a unique organisation; a leading tourist attraction, educational charity and social enterprise situated in the heart of Cornwall.
Much of the Eden Project's energy is channelled into providing unique learning experiences to all who visit, as well as carrying out valuable research into plants and conservation.
Each summer the Eden Project hosts the Eden Sessions event, a two month musical celebration hosting some of the world's most recognisable artists.
The increase in visitor numbers during this period presents a number of challenges to the attraction. The demand for chilled food and beverages increases dramatically during the event and calls for the most adaptable of storage facilities.
Dawsongroup offered the Inflatable Cold Store as the solution to the Eden Project's requirements. These flexible units were installed out of hours and with the minimum amount of fuss, accessing areas that other products simply cannot. A total of four inflatables were utilised to keep a variety of beverages at the perfect serving temperature.
'We used the inflatable to store beer and ales for an annual music event and will hire again next year.'
Each unit offers 60% additional capacity over traditional container type facilities as well large logistical cost savings.
