Case Study: Edgmond Foods

Cold Room Food Manufacturer

Edgmond foods are a specialist manufacturer of chilled and frozen products for the food retail and food service market. Edgmond Foods needed to expand their existing cold storage, and contacted us wanting information on our modular cold stores. We have provided storage solutions for Edgmond Foods on several occasions in the past, and were happy to help them again. As our rooms are made to measure, and can be placed externally, Edgmond Foods decided to purchase a 6.0 x 5.0 x 2.5 (m) cold room, regulating a temperature of +2°C.

As Edgmond Foods were a previous client, they were well aware of what options we offer and designed the room to their requirements. They wanted a floorless room with a pallet width sliding door, which makes their stock rotation much easier and more efficient. As the room was placed on a concrete platform, a ramp was also built to enable easy access for pallet trucks. 85mm thick polyurethane panels were used in the room's construction, and internal lighting was also included in the room.
